Client: Body Education Alignment Center for Health
B.E.A.C.H. is an educational wellness facility dedicated to teaching the body alignment principles of Restorative Exercise™ created by biomechanist Katy Bowman. It is appropriately located on the California central coast.
Therapeutic movement is core methodology of this health center, so it became central to the logo design. The coastal imagery refers to their location and also to the name, and a radiating sun reinforces the center's goal of good whole-body health.
The customized letter shapes are bold to tie in to the illustration shapes and to read well with the applied weathering technique. Periods between each letter in the acronym were raised to mid-line for visual balance.
Jurors selected the B.E.A.C.H. logo for inclusion in the international collection LogoLounge 7 book. Of 33,000 marks submitted, 2000 were chosen for publication.
