Client: Food Forward
Nonprofit Food Forward rescues fresh produce that would otherwise go to waste and donates it to over 300 hunger relief agencies in Southern CA.
Food Forward requested an event logo for Branch Out!, Ventura County Food Forward's volunteer appreciation/community outreach gathering. Food Forward began in Los Angeles and has expanded north. To give the logo a Ventura County flavor I included in the illustration an orange tree, row crops, and the ocean.
Lively type integrates with the logo by using curves to echo the bottom curve of the icon and by including oranges and leaves from the illustration.
